About the Design Technical Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities
Create, update, and manage accurate CAD models, 2D/3D drawings, and supporting documentation
Improve CNC machining and tooling processes through data analysis and practical experimentation
Work on the development, testing, and validation of new product ideas
Identify and deliver workflow efficiencies in design-to-manufacture systems
Liaise with internal teams to ensure technical clarity on bespoke or client-specific projects
Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit-ready documentation standards
Support continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives
Deliver technical input for training, onboarding, and product adaptation
What We’re Looking for
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Expertise in 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
Confident analysing data and identifying production or design bottlenecks
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management
Detail-focused and able to interpret complex engineering specs
Highly organised, proactive and technically curious
Strong communication skills and collaborative working style
Bonus Experience (Not Essential):
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Product/Building Engineering
CNC programming or machining knowledge
Experience in lean/continuous improvement environments
Familiarity with architectural or structural product development
