​​Electricians and electrical fitters assemble parts in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment, and install, maintain, and repair electrical plant, machinery, appliances and wiring.Common tasks include:examines drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to determine the method and sequence of operations;selects, cuts and lays wires and connects to sockets, plugs or terminals by crimping, soldering, brazing or bolting;cuts, bends and installs electrical conduit;assembles parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and by brazing, riveting or welding;installs electrical plant, machinery and other electrical fixtures and appliances such as fuse boxes, generators, light sockets etc.;examines electrical plant or machinery, domestic appliances and other electrical assembly for faults using test equipment and replaces worn parts and faulty wiring.

​Oakham is the county town of Rutland in the East Midlands of England, 25 miles (40.2 km) east of Leicester, 28 miles (45.1 km) south-east of Nottingham and 23 miles (37.0 km) west of Peterborough. It had a population of 10,922 in the 2011 census.[1] Oakham is to the west of Rutland Water, one of Europe's largest man-made lakes, and in the Vale of Catmose. Its height above sea level ranges from 325 ft (99 m) to 400 ft (120 m).
