ERS Gold Award Winner

RecruitME was set up by Chris Buck and Howard Rudder, both military veterans with 25 + subsequent years experience in recruitment and HR working for some of the UK’s leading companies.

The RecruitME team recruit for businesses & organisations across the Midlands and East of England, including Grantham, Nottingham, Leicester, Peterborough, Lincoln, Mansfield, Newark, Sleaford, Melton Mowbray, Spalding, Bourne, Stamford, Oakham, Corby, Northampton, King's Lynn, Thetford, Norwich, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds.

All our consultants are part of the Armed Forces Community and the team understand the latest developments, challenges and intricacies in the sectors we work in, whether it be new technology, Industry 4.0, rapid changes to the working landscape, skills gaps or the latest industry trends. Service delivery is at the heart of everything we do.

No two days are the same here, you will more than likely find most of the team starting their day in the gym or on their bike. This will more than likely be followed by someone getting the breakfast round in and the month ends with a team day out Go Karting. Our ethos is unity, you'll be hard pushed to find any lone wolves around here!

RecruitME Inception

Following several months of planning, a lot of blood, sweat & tears and with the guidance of X-Forces Enterprise, Chris - Ex British Army and Howard - Ex Royal Navy are each awarded a start up loan to set RecruitME up as a business. Now the GRAFT really begins!

Open for business!

RecruitME begins trading, with Armed Forces Veterans & company founders Chris & Howard, in a tiny box room office in Grantham. Initial recruitment disciplines are Ex Forces, HR, Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial Office Support. Following an article in the our local newspaper the 'Grantham Journal' we were fortunate enough to gain our first client at 9am on day 1!​

Bronze Award Winners

We become Signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant! Ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly, at the same time we were awarded the ERS Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award for our commitment.

Winners Again

After RecruitME are nominated for the Grantham Target New Business of the Year Award, we managed to scoop the top prize at a glittering awards ceremony held at Stoke Rochford Hall. This award came just 9 months since we opened the doors for business.

Time for change!

​Following a hard fought first 18 months in business, we found ourselves in need of new offices. We had outgrown our original box room, so the move to our current premises in Lindpet House, Grantham, went without a hitch!

Every Cloud

​After 18 months of trading and a lot of effort in educating & persuading employers to hire people from the Armed Forces Community, out of nowhere, we received a 'heads up' that we had been nominated for the prestigious Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award. At a glittering ceremony, we found ourselves among a lot of national & blue chip companies being awarded Silver for our commitment to the Armed Forces Community.

X-Forces Enterprise Ambassadors

​At the turn of the year, we were delighted to have been asked to become East Midlands Ambassadors for X-Forces Enterprise, the social enterprise that guided us through the process of setting up RecruitME. We announced it in style in front 200 guests including Service Leavers, Veterans, Clients and DRM (Defence Relationship Management) with an incredible evening held at the International Bomber Command Center.

SAGE Power 50 Winners

​In early 2019 we were delighted to hear that we had been recognised as a SAGE Power 50 business. The Sage Power 50 was commissioned by Sage and supports their ongoing commitment to build sustainable social, economic and entrepreneurial opportunities in Sage’s local communities around the world through Sage Foundation.

Record Year

​Our 4th year of trading saw us have our best trading year to date. We had record months, record individual sales and record company sales. What a year 2019 was!

Corona Who?!

​... And then along comes Corona!On Monday 23rd March, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces that the Nation is to go in to lockdown due to the Global Pandemic Covid-19. We would remain in a strict nationwide lockdown for 3 months which would have a significant impact on not only RecruitME but the whole economy!

Gold Dust

We became one of the record 17 organisations in the East Midlands who achieved a Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold award for actively demonstrating their support and advocacy for the Armed Forces community. Announced by Johnny Mercer, Minister for Defence People.​

the KICKSTART we needed

In the midst of the pandemic came the Governments Kickstart Scheme, which in some ways re invigorated the business after being turned upside down from Covid! We hired 3 roles through the scheme and at the same time green shoots began to appear, some say coincidence others say we got the Kickstart we needed!
