Vehicle Servicing
A motor vehicle serviceortune-upis a series ofmaintenanceprocedures carried out at a set time interval or after thevehiclehas traveled a certain distance. The service intervals are specified by thevehicle manufacturerin a service schedule and some moderncarsdisplay the due date for the next service electronically on theinstrument panel. A tune-up should not be confused withengine tuning, which is the modifying of anengineto performbetterthan the original specification, rather than using maintenance to keep the engine running as it should.
