Derby - Salary £65k to £70k dependant on experience (hybrid)
With a focus on rolling stock movement, locomotive spot hire, and charter train operations, our client has set ambitious goals to procure new-built locomotives and launch high-speed freight services, disrupting the traditional rail model.
As the Key Account Manager, you'll spearhead relationship-building efforts with key customers, including major players in the UK rail sector. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of industry transformation.
You will serve as the main point of contact for customers and stakeholders, successfully delivering contracts in order that our client and its partners deliver customer value whilst maximising profit.
What you’ll be doing:
Maximise revenue opportunities through effective account management
Develop a deep understanding of cost drivers
Prepare budget forecasts & Board papers
Provide detailed revenue forecasts and projected cost analysis
Conduct regular contract reviews with the customers, providing KPI reports
Initiate and progress through to closure contracts, contract amendments, variation orders, heads of terms agreements etc in conjunction with other internal functions
Contribute to marketing and contracting activities.
