Average 37.25 hours per week:

• Week 1 Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Thursday, Friday (7am – 6pm)

• Week 2 Shift: Tuesday & Wednesday (7am – 6pm)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a leading family-run UK business.

As a market leader, our client has made significant investments in the latest manufacturing and automation technology.

This Multi Skilled Engineer role is crucial in maintaining and optimising these operations, ensuring efficient and effective performance across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.

• Respond swiftly to breakdowns and communicate expected downtime and corrective actions to production teams.

• Work closely with the production team at all levels to improve OEE, reduce breakdowns, and enhance machine standards and operation.

• Assist the engineering team with the testing, installation, and commissioning of new equipment before going live.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and other servicing tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers and production teams to foster a positive and proactive work environment.

• Focus on achieving and surpassing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Engineering Manager.

• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.

• Participate in team huddles and site meetings, raising potential risks, areas for improvement, and solutions.

• Be proactive in personal development, becoming a super user on automation, tray wash, and Moba grading equipment.

• Identify areas of inefficiency and waste, implementing agreed improvements with the Engineering Manager.

• Complete IOSH Working Safely training and support the team in risk assessments for machinery.

• Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times, maintaining high standards in hygiene, safety, and document control.

• Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues, subordinates, and management.

Skills & Experience:

• Multi-Skilled Engineer with City & Guilds BTEC Level 3 (or above) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• A recognized apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an automated production facility.

• Experience in food, brewery, or FMCG environments is highly beneficial.
