Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to support the Sales Manager in delivering continued success across the UK and internationally.

This role offers the chance to manage and grow existing accounts while driving new business, supported by a respected brand and a collaborative, supportive team.

The role is based out of Grantham, Lincolnshire, with regular UK travel and occasional international trips. Hybrid working options are available following an initial training and onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture existing customer accounts through regular site visits and communication

  • Provide technical sales support and after-sales service, including spare parts

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities via email, phone, and social media outreach

  • Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate customer records

  • Attend trade shows and industry events to represent the company and build new relationships

  • Contribute to marketing efforts including online content and promotional campaigns

  • Produce bespoke customer quotes, process sales orders, and ensure a smooth customer journey from enquiry to delivery

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in sales, ideally within technical, engineering, or materials handling environments

  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills

  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sales or a similar commercial role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel and attend meetings across the UK and occasionally overseas

  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with a drive to exceed targets
