I am working exclusively with a prominent and innovative player in the rail rolling stock industry who are looking for a General Manager (Director level) to head up their Rail Operations (Assets) company.

My client is the pioneer and owner of the UK’s most advanced locomotive fleet, currently being delivered and tested for this.

It is fantastic to be working with a group of people with a real 'can do' attitude, which includes our their colleagues at Stadler, all focused on putting their phenomenal tri-mode locomotive into service.

As the the General Manager of Rail Operations (Assets), you'll head this very high profile business and work closely with the CEO and Board and be a key player in one of the UK’s most innovative train operating companies.

Their new locomotives are state-of-the-art, tri-mode locomotives and feature a range of new and revolutionary technology.

They are a close knit and successful team with a proven track record of innovation, creative and pioneering thinking with a desire to shape the future of the UK rail industry.

To be successful in this role we’re looking for someone with the gravitas to work with the Board and investors, possessing strong financial acumen and leadership skills.

The General Manager should have ROSCOs (ROlling Stock COmpanies) experience and a recognised engineering qualification.

You should also have the strength to influence change, have a good understanding of rail asset management and the associated challenges and a good understanding of infrastructure data acquisition and processing and the technical challenges this programme must address.
