We are working on behalf of a thriving business, part of a larger UK wide business, who are recruiting for a Health and Safety Coordinator to work closely with the Group Health and Safety Manager.
This role supports the Group HSE Manager in overseeing safety, health, environment, and quality aspects of the business.
Responsibilities include coordinating systems, documents, and processes, serving as the department's initial point of contact, and driving compliance across all areas.
Carrying out internal audits, staff training and HSE policy reviews, this will give the successful Health and Safety candidate a great insight into a busy health and safety role.
Additionally, the Health and Safety Coordinator role involves influencing operations management to align with the company strategy and taking proactive measures are taken to promptly address any health, safety, or environmental issues, while also serving as a role model for safe practices and aiding in continuous improvement efforts.
What we're looking for:
Ideally IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) as a minimum, experience with operational safety including completion of risk assessments and procedural documentation. As well as:
Confidence to train employees in H&S topics
Competent in Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Planning and organising skills
Must have full driving licence and own transport
