Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Sports Grounds Person to join the Estates team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain and present our sports pitches and grounds to the highest standards of safety, function, and appearance.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for turf maintenance across a large estate, contributing directly to the delivery of an exceptional sporting environment.

Full Time Permanent (39 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a variety of sports pitches and playing surfaces across the estate

  • Operate and maintain sports turf machinery and equipment

  • Conduct mowing, fertilising, aeration, irrigation, and weed control tasks

  • Maintain and prepare synthetic surfaces and courts

  • Mark out pitches and prepare for fixtures and events

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in sports ground maintenance

  • Experience in tasks such as pitch marking, aeration, mowing, fertilising and weed control

  • Competence in using a wide range of machinery and equipment

  • Team player with a proactive and reliable work ethic

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Desirable qualifications include:

  • PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates

  • NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf or equivalent
